Last Friday Luna Sobrón won the Santander Golf Tour LETAS Burgos, played at Golf Lerma, decided on a spectacular eight-hole play-off in which the Majorcan beat the Catalan Mireia Prat and the French Anabelle Carnet.
After finishing in a draw, the three players competed for the title in a play-off. On the first three holes they all managed to get a birdie on the 18th hole, and on the fourth hole, Sobrón and Carnet achieved another birdie that cancelled out Prat’s par. The next four holes would be played on the 17th and 18th holes. Finally, on the eighth hole, Carnet managed to get the par from the bunker, but the Majorcan Luna Sobrón achieved a new birdie that proclaimed her champion of the Santander Golf Tour LETAS Burgos.
“The truth is that I have played very tidy throughout the week, I am very happy to achieve my fifth victory on the Santander Golf Tour and third on the LETAS. I have putted very, very well and I’m happy because everything I’ve worked for is paying off,” explained Luna Sobrón.
